F.A.Q.

So, you're getting married? In that case, let's open up a bottle of bubbly and CELEBRATE! Before we do that, there are a ton of questions that goe through the mind of a bride-to-be. Below are some frequently asked questions that brides will ask themselves before they say "I Do".

If you don't see a question below that you would like answered, feel free to drop me a line and I'll do my best to answer it, without bias of course!

1. How do I know if I'm marrying the right person?
When you know, you just know; it's that simple!

2. What type of dress should I get?
If you have absolutely no idea what kind of dress you want, the first thing you should do is close your eyes and envision yourself on the day of your wedding. The first image you see of yourself should help you get started.  If for some reason, you didn't picture yourself wearing a dress, then we'll just move right along to the next step: which is what type of fabric do you like best? satin, chiffon, lace, silk, and so on. You get the point. Once you've figured that out, then it'll be easier to go dress shopping. For example, if you like satin gowns, when you go looking, just focus on trying on satin gowns. The same rule applies to dress shape as well.
Now, if you're really in a pickle and you have no clue what-so-ever what kind of dress you like, then just start looking through some magazines for inspiration and when you go to the store, try on a little bit of everything.

3. My fiance' and I can't agree on anything! How can we see eye-to-eye with the wedding plans?
Dear friend, this is tricky business! But not to fret, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. First, the best thing for the both of you to do and sit and be very serious about what you both like to have in your wedding. Give each other options to choose from so that eventually you will both pick the same thing. For instance, when choosing between a white napkin and an ivory napkin it helps to pull out as many of those napkins and compare them side by side. (There are a gazillion shades of white and ivory, you both will meet somewhere in the middle) If you want white and he wants ivory, you look at the ivory napkins and weed out the ones you don't like and vice versa. Once you've both narrowed your choices down, put them together and make your final decision.
Another skill you can use is a good one if it works, but it does have the potential to backfire so use with CAUTION!. If you have your heart set on ruby red tablecloth, but you know your fiance' might be a little weary of it, show him some of the most hideous tablecloths first and express to him that you like them. This way, when you finally show him the ruby red tablecloth, he's already comparing it to the ugly ones and will find this one to be a much better choice. BEWARE, there's always a chance he might like one of ugly ones!
